It's essential to invest in knowledge and safety equipment to prevent accidents and ensure you're prepared if one occurs. Joining a skating club with experienced instructors is a great way to enhance your safety on the ice. Here we gathered information and video instruction about all our safety products and also some accessories.
Safety Products
Secura Safety System
If someone falls through the ice, it's your duty to help. We have developed a safety system to facilitate rescue efforts.
Components: Includes a backpack, safety harness, and rescue rope.
Functionality: The system features crotch straps and an extension belt with a carabiner hook. These attach to a compatible backpack like the GERO 35 WP, creating a rescue harness. If someone needs help, they can throw their lifeline to you, and you can attach it to the carabiner on your harness, allowing them to pull you to safety.

Norröra Rescue Line
A 24-meter floating rescue rope made from Polypropylene with removable weight to optimize throwing and a tool bag. The weight can be replaced with spare parts and tools. The storage bag glides well on ice and snow and comes with an adjustable handle.
Essential for Saving Others: Equip yourself with a rescue line like the Norröra Rescue line, which attaches to your backpack and can be anchored to your harness for effective use.
Striim, Ice Pike
A double ice pike made from hardened aluminium and components from Swix. EVA details keep the cold from the pole away from the body. One pole has an extra weight for use as a single pike.
Ice Claws
Ice claws are crucial for personal safety on the ice. Always wear ice claws around your neck for quick access in an emergency. Ensure the handles provide a good grip and the tips are sharp enough to penetrate the ice. Never skate without accessible ice claws.
Recommendation: We recommend the Grip ice claw for optimal safety.
