A technical high shell boot in a three-layered shell construction consisting of a waterproof rubber bottom and a shaft made of high-quality leather. The boot is designed to suit demanding hiking, such as in rough terrain and for those carrying a heavier backpack. The high shaft provides excellent support and protection while keeping dirt and moisture at bay. The shaft is constructed with three layers: a durable nubuck leather, an insulating midlayer of Ariaprene, and a comfortable microfiber lining. The bottom part of the boot is extremely durable and effectively protects the foot against rocks, sharp edges, and moisture. It is made of Certech® Exp, which consists of a waterproof Liba Smart outer layer, an insulating and shock-absorbing EVA midlayer, and a microfiber inner layer for comfort. Additionally, the boot is equipped with a Vibram Traction sole with a rugged pattern, a protective toe cap, and a heel wedge for maximum shock absorption. The shell construction means that the boots are not lined, making them perfect for wading and quick drying even when fully waterlogged. Remember to always wear two pairs of socks (merino wool) for optimal comfort. The boots are highly durable and designed to be easy to repair.
