Recipes: Nuts for hiking
The world's simplest recipe for the perfect snack is a mixture of sweet, salty and sour.
What you pack in your backpack depends on the season, the weather and the trip you are going on. But one thing that is always a good idea to take with you is nut mixture.
A tour mix of nuts, chocolate and - if you like it - some dried fruit, consists of both fast and slow carbohydrates, plenty of healthy fat and gives a good feeling of satiety. Nuts also contain fiber and lots of protein. In addition, you get important vitamins and minerals, such as magnesium, potassium and iron. A handful of nuts is therefore a perfect snack and a real energy bomb!
You make the world's easiest recipe for turmeric mix yourself, and is a mixture of sweet, salty and sour. Mix the mix in the desired proportion. For example 50/50 nuts and chocolate and a little less of the dried fruit.
This is a great way to use up the stock of nuts many people have lying around in drawers and cupboards, it will be good almost anyway! If you fill a ziplock bag before you go out on your next trip, which you can snack on while you walk, you'll keep your energy up to walk a few more kilometers!
You need
Nuts, with or without salt (peanuts, cashews, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds)

You can also split a training bar/intermediate bar to mix into the mix, for some delicious soft bites as well.
